A Bit More About This Property

Camp Kindred (formerly Camp Anawanna) is a newly built log cabin on Wisp Mountain, thoughtfully designed for families and groups. More than just a vacation rental, it blends luxury finishes with playful camp spirit: 4 king suites, an adult-friendly bunk room, a chef’s kitchen with double ovens, an extra fridge downstairs, and plenty of spaces to gather or spread out. Dog-friendly and tucked in a peaceful wooded setting, the Camp is also home to 3 private disc golf baskets, cornhole, & 'Bocce Roll' for fun right in the yard.

 

As part of our rebrand, we’ve enhanced the artwork throughout the home to reflect the adventures Western Maryland is known for—golf, skiing, water sports, and hiking. Some photos are being updated, so you’ll be among the first to experience these refreshed touches.

 

Since our cabin is built of beautiful rustic wood, you may notice more echo than in a traditional home. To keep every stay cozy and comfortable, we’ve added white noise machines in each bedroom.

- A rental contract will be E-signed within 24 hours of receipt.

- All animals in your group have been disclosed, including service & emotional support animals (If applicable)

- Occupancy is limited to the number of people on your booking at all times.

- Our HOA does not allow boat trailer or other trailer parking in the driveway -- if you would like to bring a boat, the state park allows parking for a fee.

- No loud noises or partying. This is a quiet, peaceful home in proximity to neighbors whom I love and they love me. I'd like to keep it that way. ;)

- You have read the house rules and will abide by them.

- I ask that all members of your group be added to the reservation on Airbnb.

I stumbled upon Jennie’s place after my original host had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. She was able to accommodate me and my family on extremely short notice, which was such a relief. Jennie’s excellent communication and responsiveness immediately put me at ease. Now, onto the trip itself. The moment we walked through the door, it felt like stepping into the pages of a design magazine. My family and I couldn’t stop commenting on how beautifully decorated the home was. My husband’s family has been visiting DCL for 35 years, and they said this was their favorite house yet! The cabin was a perfect place to celebrate Thanksgiving! It was a halfway point for myself and extended family. Kitchen was well equipped, plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The house was so well thought out with every detail from decorations to phone chargers. Jennie was extremely receptive and helpful throughout as well. Only wish we could have used the outdoor fireplace and fire pit a bit! It was a very cold and windy weekend. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin near Deep Creek! Everything was absolutely perfect — even better than the photos. The home was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully designed with every detail in mind. From the hot tub and fire pit to the soft slippers in each bathroom and convenient chargers by every bed, it was clear our host went above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable. There were plenty of towels, extra supplies, and everything we could possibly need for a relaxing getaway. It truly felt like a home away from home — only better! We appreciated the care and thoughtfulness that went into every aspect of the space. We can’t recommend this cabin highly enough and would love to come back again. A perfect stay from start to finish!

Jennie’s place was perfect for our group of 11 on our annual cabin trip. The house was clean, spacious, and had the perfect mix of cozy cabin charm and modern design. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook for a crowd, and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Big bonus that it allowed pets so everyone, including the furry family members ones, could join in. We especially enjoyed the shuffleboard table and bonfire pit. The location was unbeatable, Driving through the mountains surrounded by fall colors was incredible, and the views from the cabin were just as beautiful. There were even pickleball courts nearby for a fun change of pace. Jennie was an awesome host. She was responsive, organized, and clear with her instructions. Check-in and check-out were smooth. Great house, great location, great host. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat. 100% worth it!

Jennie's home in McHenry is so beautiful and unique with the whimsical decor and attention to detail. We've stayed in many places in McHenry, and this home boasts the most fun and the most, well-equipped in terms of the kitchen, bathrooms and activities for all age groups. We love the bright airy features of the home and would've taken advantage of the outdoor areas had the weather permitted us. The quality of mattresses, bedding, kitchen essentials and furniture were noticeably of high standard. The ease of check in and out was very convenient.

It was also well-stocked, which made it easy to settle in and enjoy our time together. We especially appreciated the outdoor games provided—they kept everyone entertained and made for some great family fun. The location was perfect—tucked into a nice neighborhood (not on a busy main road), yet still just a 10–20 minute drive from shops, restaurants, and activities. We saw deer often and appreciated having the gate at the stairs on the porch. Overall, this was a fantastic place for a family gathering, and we’d happily stay again!

Jennie's home is gorgeous. We absolutely loved the decor and furnishings. It was obvious that everything was meticulously chosen for the space. The bedrooms were so comfortable and the fact that there was a bathroom in every bedroom was so amazing and convenient. The location was so peaceful. it felt like we were in a tree house. Also, there were necessities throughout the house- like extra toothbrushes and even a few spare diapers. None of my kids are in diapers anymore but I so appreciate that added touch. This was the nicest AirBnb I've stayed in. So many high end touches. It was perfect!

We had a great weekend with our whole family. The house is extremely well stocked for our big group. With two fridges and two ovens we had no trouble whipping up all our meals within the house. We loved that there were plenty of utensils and serving dishes. The kitchen wasn’t lacking for anything! There are great toys for kids already stocked in the house! We loved how kid friendly it felt. Jennie gave some great recommendations on things to do while we were in town and all her instructions prior to arrival made our stay so seamless. Our family had a Father’s Day weekend celebration at Jeneane’s Airbnb and we thoroughly enjoyed the home. The bedrooms were comfy, clean, spacious and every detail was well thought out. The house was absolutely awesome and just how it is described on the posting. Jeneane was very responsive from the time of the booking up until our check out day. The recommendations she made were also fantastic. We did run into a small issue where one of the guests brought their boat so we could go on the lake. Jeneane and my group were unaware that the HOA does not allow boats or trailers to be parked in the drive way. We did have to leave the boat parked at the state park which Jeneane covered the fee for. Overall the house was perfect for our group and couldnt have asked for a better host.

Cannot say enough good things about our stay. Before we left my family was already planning to come back. The place is clean, spacious, and comfortable. They had so many small touches throughout the house and even in the kitchen that helped us with our stay. I think I bothered the host everyday with a question but she was very nice and quick with her answers. She even let us know during our stay a local creamery had opened up and that it was a favorite. Definitely recommend staying if you get the chance to book!

Everything is labeled well and easy to find so you spend very little time “getting settled” and can start enjoying yourself immediately. The lighting was also notable, and fantastic. The house was clean, newer, and well equipped to handle multiple families with children and a pet. We had a bunch of kids and they loved everything about it. Jeneane thought of everything for them to do and gave them a great place to play and sleep. The bunk beds were a huge win for them! Kitchen was well stocked with accessories, plates, and utensils (both adults and kids). The fireplace on the deck was great for the adults and the doggy gate was perfect for the pup. Great neighborhood to walk the dog. Jeneane was ultra responsive and gave great instructions for everything!
